Can AI do LinkedIn prospecting? One sentence, 20 decision makers, nothing sent

Can AI do LinkedIn prospecting? It can do the research and the first drafts, and a person should make the call. I typed one sentence, and nine minutes later AI handed me twenty decision makers to contact, each matched to a need, with a drafted message for each. Nothing was sent.

This is my real LinkedIn prospecting workflow. I build AI systems for business owners, and I work with Claude Code on the left of my screen and LinkedIn on the right. My one sentence asked for ten prospects matched to their specific needs.

Here is what it did. It ran a search that returned about twelve hundred owners, founders, and executives. It made a shortlist, then opened each profile on it to read what that business needs right now, using each company's open job posting as the sign of the need. It drafted a personal message for each person. Then it graded every draft against my standard before I saw any of them.

The grading is the part people skip, and it earned its place. The first ten drafts did not pass my standard on the first try, so they were rewritten before they reached me. Then I said, “find ten more,” and it kept working on the next ten while the first ten were being graded.

Here is the big one: nothing was sent. AI does the research. I make the call. A message that goes out under my name is a relationship, so I read every draft and decide who hears from me and what it says. The time AI saves is the searching, the reading, and the first draft, which is where prospecting hours go.
