How much work can one person do with AI? I did nine jobs in five days

How much work can one person do with AI? In one five-day week I did about 380 hours of work, counted as the same work done by hand, in about 30 hours of my own time. That is about nine and a half full-time people. AI did not replace me. It multiplied me by about twelve.

I found that number by giving myself a performance review. I run a one-person business, and in those five days I did nine different jobs: web developer, web designer, sales rep, AI voice agent builder, video producer, social media manager, software tester, compliance, and IT and strategy.

Here is what got done. I shipped new website features and designed a client site. I researched three hundred businesses and sent over four hundred personalized emails. I built an AI sales caller who dialed more than sixty businesses. I produced seven videos, and I covered testing, compliance, and IT.

Here is how the hours were counted, because the number only matters if it is honest. The 380 hours is an estimate of how long the same work takes by hand, without AI, added up job by job. It came to 383, which is 9.6 people at a forty-hour week. My own 30 hours is also an estimate: about 18 hours of typing was measured, and the rest is calls and review. That is why I say “about” every time.

The final number made me check the math twice. Then I noticed the part that matters more to a business owner: this was a regular week for me. The gain did not come from one big project. It came from handing AI the repeatable parts of nine ordinary jobs while I kept the calls, the review, and the decisions.

So the useful question is not whether AI can do your job. It is which of those nine jobs is eating your week right now.
